Terms of service
Last updated 14 September 2026. AltCheck is published by Ignas Ausiejus.
These terms cover the AltCheck app for Webflow, published by Ignas Ausiejus at https://altcheck.ausiejus.lt. Installing or using AltCheck means accepting them.
What AltCheck does
AltCheck scans a Webflow site for images with no alt text — across CMS Collections and the asset library — and writes the descriptions you enter back to your CMS. Scanning and editing are free and unlimited, and stay free whether or not you ever buy anything.
The Unlock
- $29, once, for one site. It unlocks AI-written descriptions for that site. There is no subscription, no renewal, no expiry, and no limit on how many descriptions you generate.
- It is bought against a Webflow site id. Buying for one site does not unlock another, and a workspace-wide or agency licence is not currently offered.
- A duplicated site is a new site. Webflow gives a copy its own site id, so an Unlock does not travel with a duplicate, a template, or a site rebuilt from scratch. If you have duplicated a site you already paid for, email us and we will move the Unlock rather than ask you to buy it again.
- AI descriptions are produced by Anthropic’s models. If that service is unavailable, that feature is too.
Refunds
Email support@ausiejus.lt and we will refund the purchase through Stripe. We would rather refund someone who is unhappy than argue about it. A refunded Unlock is deactivated; scanning and editing remain free and unaffected.
Your responsibilities
Alt text is published on your site, under your name, and accessibility compliance is yours. AI-written descriptions arrive as drafts in the field and are never saved for you — you read them, change what you want, and choose what to publish. A description is only as good as your review of it: a model can describe what an image shows but not what it means in your context, and it cannot know that a photograph is decorative, or that a chart’s point is the trend rather than its colours.
You also agree not to use AltCheck on sites you are not authorized to edit.
What AltCheck cannot do
These are limits of what Webflow exposes, not choices, and they are listed so nobody discovers them after paying:
- The asset-library sweep sees an asset’s default alt text. An individual placement can override it, so that count is a guide rather than a guarantee.
- CMS images used as CSS background images cannot be fixed — a background carries no alt attribute at all.
- There is no “mark as decorative”. An intentionally blank description cannot be recorded through the API, so such an image is reported again on the next scan.
- The primary locale only.
Availability and liability
AltCheck is provided as it is, without warranty. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and AltCheck depends on Webflow’s API, Anthropic’s API and Stripe, none of which we control. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you have paid us — for most users, nothing; for an unlocked site, $29. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may suspend access in case of abuse, or withdraw the app from the marketplace. If we withdraw it while your Unlock is less than a year old, we will refund it.
Changes and governing law
If these terms change materially, the date above moves and the change is announced in the app before it takes effect. A change never converts a one-time Unlock you have already bought into a subscription.
These terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania.
