AltCheck stores your authorization and, if you buy one, your Unlock. It never stores your site’s content.

What AltCheck stores

Two things, on servers in the EU:

What it does not store

To find images without descriptions, the backend reads your Collections, Items and assets from Webflow. That happens in memory, for the length of one request, and the results are sent straight to the panel in your browser. No item, field, image or description is written to our database or to a log file. When you press Save, the descriptions you wrote go to your CMS through Webflow’s API — we keep no copy.

Scan results and any edits you have not saved yet are held in your own browser’s storage so that closing the panel does not lose your work. They never leave your device, are separated per site and per user, and are discarded after a day. Your panel session is held in memory only and is gone when the panel closes.

We hold no password for you — Webflow authenticates you — and no email address. If you buy an Unlock, Stripe collects your email as the record of that purchase; we do not receive or store it.

AI descriptions

Only if you ask for one. Pressing Suggest sends Anthropic’s API the URL of that image, which Anthropic fetches from Webflow’s CDN, along with the names of the Collection, Item and field it belongs to so the description can tell, say, a product from a staff photo. Nothing else about your site is sent, and nothing is sent at all for images you do not ask about.

Anthropic does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models. It may retain them for a limited period for safety and legal compliance, under its own commercial terms. The generated text is returned to your browser as an unsaved draft; we do not keep it.

Payments

Checkout is hosted by Stripe and opens in its own window. Card details are entered on Stripe’s page and never reach AltCheck — we are told only that a payment for a given site succeeded, by a notification we verify cryptographically.

Who else sees anything

Three processors, each for one job: Webflow, whose API is the source of everything scanned and the destination of everything saved; Anthropic, for descriptions you explicitly request; and Stripe, for payment. We do not sell data, we run no advertising, and we use no analytics or tracking on this site or in the panel.

Removing your data

Uninstalling AltCheck in Webflow revokes its access immediately. To have the stored rows themselves deleted — your authorization, and the record of any Unlock — email support@ausiejus.lt and we will remove them. Note that deleting the record of an Unlock also deletes the proof that you bought it.

Stripe keeps its own record of a payment for as long as its own terms and tax law require; that is outside our control and outside what we can delete on your behalf.

Changes

If what AltCheck stores ever changes, this page changes with it and the date above moves. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
